Pressure

Maximum Pressure: They can withstand a maximum pressure of up to 400 bar for short periods or under special circumstances. However, prolonged operation at this maximum pressure might impact the pump's lifespan and performance.

Speed

Maximum Rotational Speed: The maximum rotational speed varies depending on the specific displacement size. For instance, smaller displacement models like A4VSO40 might have a maximum speed of around 2600 rpm, while larger ones such as A4VSO1000 could have a lower maximum speed, perhaps around 1200 rpm. This is to ensure proper mechanical operation and prevent issues like excessive wear and cavitation.

Minimum Rotational Speed: There is also a minimum rotational speed, usually in the range of 500 - 800 rpm. Below this speed, the pump may not be able to generate sufficient pressure or flow to meet the requirements of the hydraulic system.

Flow Rate

The flow rate (Q) of the pump is calculated by multiplying the displacement (V) by the rotational speed (n), i.e., Q = V × n. For example, if an A4VSO71 pump is operating at 1500 rpm, with a displacement of 71 cm³/rev (or 71×10⁻⁶ m³/rev), the flow rate would be Q = (71×10⁻⁶) × (1500/60) = 177.5×10⁻³ m³/min (or 177.5 L/min).
